Fraser: Hanging out over the lake. That's Ivan Kristoff
of the Canadian Rescue Emergency Service Team. Tomorrow
he will be setting a world record at the CNE. He will
rappel from a helicopter 2000 feet in the air. Ivan is
an old hand at this stuff and occasionally flips feet
up, just to relieve the boredom. He carries his own weight
of rope as he dangles to provide a route to the ground.
Ivan and his team are the top high rise
rescue technicians in the country. And they will be performing
at the EX tomorrow at 1 o'clock.
Kate Wheeler: Live now to the CNE, where
an exiting dare devil record was set today. Hello, Alisha

Good morning. O.K., tell me what you are doing tomorrow?
Ivan Kristoff:
Tomorrow we will do the most dangerous rappel from a
helicopter, which is a world record itself. So, I will
rappel at least 1800 feet on a rope. It's not just the
length, because I can go 3km - no problem, but we will
are doing the most difficult and extreme way to be as
close as possible to do real thing.
J.
P.: And you are going
for that world record?
I. K.: For me it's not a record,
it's a test, because I want to test my ropes, equipment,
everything.
J. P.: O.K. we are doing the test
a little bit later, but right now we are going back
to the station. Over here Spiderman, this is dangerous,
do not do this at home! Hey, Sandy, what's happening
tomorrow?
Police
Constable Sandy Lupo: Well, we've got Ivan
Kristoff, record rappel from a helicopter at the CNE

PC S. L.: They can see him in
the water front infront of the bench shelve at around
12 o'clock.
J. P.: O.K. What else forward
to see for the Emergency Services Day?
PC S. L.: We've got Emergency services from over Ontario
in present, we've got the Military, including the Infantry
and the Navy in present, we've got vintage vehicles,
we've got some entertainment on the bench show from
various troops. and self defense demonstration. It's
a full day. Big day.
J. P.: O.K. Here it goes, Ivan
is rappelling down right now and what is he actually
doing, is he landing over the water? No he is coming
back probably maybe 250 feet given him enough rope and
he can take off again if he has to. We will put him
in a boat depending on the pilot and the pilot of the
boat as w
